$600 Raised for Ubuntu Through Health!

The Zambilla & Co stall at The Ubuntu Through Health (UTH) Charity Ball helped raise $600 for the amazing UTH programs in Kenya and Nepal.

Disease, malnutrition, cervical cancer, pelvic organ prolapse and the list goes on. These are just a few of the problems women face daily in the communities of Kenya and Nepal. But thanks to the incredible work by Ubuntu Through Health, there is hope for many women to be educated and treated through their programs and partnerships.

Ubuntu Through Health was established in 2010 by a group of Griffith University medical students and are a non-profit initiative of HOPE4HEALTH. They provide tailored financial assistance to health clinics for medical supplies and health programs. Here is their incredible team below!

On the 29th October, the UTH Charity Ball was hosted at the Victoria Park Gold Course in Herston Brisbane where 200 guests came together to raise the much-needed funds for their two current projects in Kenya and Nepal.

PROJECTS

Kenya: The Ruben Centre is tackling issues such as malaria, tuberculosis, typhoid, dysentery, HIV and malnutrition among children.

Nepal: Working with Community Service Academy Nepal (COSAN) charity to promote their work on uterine prolapse and cervical cancer screening in remote regions where this would otherwise not be possible.

We were grateful to be a part of this event by having a stall that displayed our vibrant range of handmade earrings and every earring purchased on the night donated $25 to the UTH!

Our stall was situated beautifully inside the function room allowing guests to participate in the silent auctions, raffle draws and purchase some of their own handmade Zambilla & Co earrings.

I wore the stunning Mystical earrings from the Fan collection and these proved to be the most popular earrings on the night. There are 3 colour variants of this design with gold, silver and navy. Other popular earrings included, Intricate Spirals, Exotika owls, and the Golden Coin Collection. Explore the earring collection yourself!

The night overall was a huge success with Zambilla & Co donating $600 AUD to Ubuntu Through Health. This wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of the guests that purchased earrings for themselves and loved ones so we thank you again!

We look forward to seeing the progress on the projects in Nepal and Kenya and we thank Ubuntu Through Health once again for inviting to their Charity Ball.
